A Message from the Founder
MyButterfly wasn’t built in a boardroom; it was born from real experience. When I moved to Montenegro, I lived the intense frustration of navigating a language barrier while trying to settle in to the culture and build a life. As an educator, I saw my foreign students learning English face those exact same isolating hurdles. True integration requires more than vocabulary—it takes cultural empathy and real support.
Driven to find a fairer way, I built MyButterfly—a human-led space that rejects exploitative corporate commissions so language specialists are genuinely valued. This ethical mission found its perfect alignment through our close partnership with our sister platform, Balkan Residents, a digital hub helping expats, immigrants, and businesses settle in the region. Together, we recognize that true community integration requires a shared language. Through this collaboration, MyButterfly serves as the exclusive, go-to provider for the area—equipping newcomers and local enterprises with the vital linguistic and cultural tools they need to thrive.
